Marathon queen Lalita Babar sets new National record at Delhi Half Marathon on Sunday.
Lalita Babar shatters 7-year-old record to clinch the title at Delhi Half Marathon in Elite Indian women category. Babar clocked 1:10.52 to win the Delhi half Marathon and set the new National record. She clocked the fastest ever half marathon time by Indian women.
The Indian-Trio of Lalita Babar, OP Jaisha and Sudha Singh broke the Delhi Half Marathon course record set by Kavita Raut (1:17:12) in 2008. OP Jaisha clocked 1:11:43 to finish second followed by Sudha Singh 1:11:46 for third position.
Nitender Singh Rawat finished on the the top of the podium in Indian Elite Men category. He clocked 1:04:41 to clinch the gold medal, followed by Gopi T and Mohd. Yunus who clocked 01:04:45 and 01:04:46 for second and third position respectively.
