New Delhi, August 18: Athletics Federation of India will conduct the 2019 Indian Grand Prix – VI on September 5 in the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here with a view to providing athletes in 11 events an extra chance to secure the qualification standard for the IAAF World Championships 2019 to be held in Doha later next month.
AFI had originally scheduled to host the final leg of the Grand Prix series on September 1 in Chennai but had to reschedule it since the start of the National Inter-State Athletics Championships was postponed from July 14 to August 27 and relocated to Lucknow from Kolkata.
The events:
Men: 400m hurdles, 4x400m relay, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put and Javelin Throw.
Women: 100m, 200m, 400m and Long Jump.
