30 Dec. 2020. New Delhi. As per the communication received from Asian Athletics Association (AAA), the Local Organising Committee and Japan Athletics Federation have decided to cancel the Asian Race Walking Championships scheduled for 21st March 2021, in Nomi, Japan due Covid-19 pandemic.
AAA also informed the member federations that 4th Asian Youth Athletics Championships scheduled from 1st to 4th March 2021 in Kuwait city is postponed and will now be held in October 2021.
Meanwhile, the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has also postponed 6th Asian Beach Games scheduled to be held in Sanya City, China from 2nd to 10th April 2021 till further notice. Athletics is one of the new sporting disciplines that was added to the Asian Beach Games program.
