New Delhi, July 4: Athletics Federation of India has offered Long Jumper Jeswin Aldrin, 400m sprinter Aishwarya Kailash Mishra and relay runner Arokia Rajiv a second set of trials on July 8 to make it to the Indian squad for the World Athletics Championships to be held in Eugene from July 15.

AFI President Adille J. Sumariwalla said since the athletes had not matched the criteria set for them in the trials in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday, they would be given another opportunity along with the trials for junior athletes in Patiala. “We don’t want to deny them a chance to qualify for the World Championships. They are welcome to take one more trial,” he said.
